Not only do Shanti Bhavan graduates earn college degrees and go on to work at Fortune 500 companies, their aim is to financially support their families and their communities, serving as ‘change agents’, ending the cycle of generational poverty in India.

Rare diseases face extra challenges in fundraising. The Greater New York Huntington’s Disease community is very grateful for Exec-Comm’s CARES program. Exec-Comm is a corporate sponsor of the New York Chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. Huntington’s Disease is a rare fatal genetic disorder that has been described as a combination of ALS, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s – simultaneously. Over the three years that Exec-Comm has been a sponsor, several very promising treatments to cure HD have begun development. Along with supporting research towards a cure, the money from altruistic companies like Exec-Comm also helps provide medical treatment, counseling and referrals for families affected by Huntington’s Disease.

It is with gratitude that we write to catch you up on the many ways your previous grant of $5000.00 was put to use over the past 18 months. As an organization, e2 education & environment has grown and expanded our library of This Is Ours books, traveled to California, Florida and Cambodia and worked with students both here in the USA and abroad. The funding we received from Exec-Comm was essential for this programming. This Is Ours workshops connect students in different countries and communities through their ideas about the environment. They are passionate about their culture, hometowns, and the state of the world around them, finding connections with other students through This Is Ours books.

As a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the performing arts accessible to everyone, Mile Square Theatre is incredibly grateful for Exec-Comm’s CARES generous grants. Without them, we would not have been able to provide need-based tuition assistance to over 40 families seeking summer arts camps for their children. Staffed by professional teaching artists with experience on NYC stages, television and film, MST summer camps strive to bring first-class arts education to the Hudson County community – thank you Exec-Comm for making this happen!
